Hello, my name is Anneke and I am all about colors and creating.
Creating is doing what I love, it is an essential part of my life, it is natural, it is an idea growing inside of me and not being able to not do anything about it. It is wanting to explore, to be amazed, to experience, to feel and to see something grow.
Colors are what I have always been attracted to. I love the vibrant working of colors, the way they make us feel and their ability to help us express ourselves. There can never be enough color and colors can never be exactly the same.
Colors are endless and that is also how I see my creativity. I love working with textiles, embroidery and weaving in particular, but I also draw, paint and experiment with clay.
In 2010 I went to a school for Fashion & Design studies and two years later to the Institute of Arts in Maastricht. There I obtained my degree in Art and Design in Education. In the years that followed I spent a lot of time in Zimbabwe, exploring and experiencing a life on the soutern part of our globe.
Today I live with my two children in a colorful apartment in a village in the south of the Netherlands and I work part-time as an art teacher at a school for young students from all over the world who are new to the country for various reasons. Besides colors I love flowers, plants, sunshine and knitting shops and I have a profound interest in humanity and its cultures.
Kleurenwereld is where I express my creativity. Kleuren is the Dutch word for colors, wereld means world.
